Our ENSEMBLES
The Westchester Children’s Chorus performing ensembles rehearse weekly on Tuesday in Yorktown Heights and Thursday in Larchmont from September through May and observe the Mamaroneck and Yorktown Heights School District Holiday Calendar. CRESCENDO SOUTH
Southern Ensemble Directed by Hannah Geiling
A choir for students in grades 1-2. Crescendo students will have a slightly shorter rehearsal and will focus on developing the skills necessary to be successful in the chorus!

CRESCENDO NORTH
Northern Ensemble Directed by Andrea Stock & Nathaniel Wardlaw

CANTUS SOUTH
Directed by Anne Crozier
Cantus is comprised of treble/unchanged voices. Students in grades 3-5 will experience beginning choral techniques and etiquette through game songs, canons/rounds, and a simple introduction to reading a score. Cantus members must be able to demonstrate a healthy use of head tone and will be asked to participate in a blend and balance exercise during auditions. Throughout the year, students will experience singing unison and two-part music.

CANTUS NORTH
Directed by Jenna Stufkosky
Cantus is comprised of treble/unchanged voices. Students in grades 3-5 will experience beginning choral techniques and etiquette through game songs, canons/rounds, and a simple introduction to reading a score. Cantus members will be able to demonstrate a healthy use of head tone and will be asked to participate in a blend and balance exercise during auditions. Throughout the year, students will experience singing unison and two-part music.

Cantabile south

Cantabile is comprised of treble/unchanged voices. Students in grades 6-8 will experience a growing choral etiquette and rehearsal technique, with a more formal rehearsal process that includes sight singing and score study. Cantabile members must demonstrate a healthy use of head tone and will be asked to participate in a blend-and-balance exercise during auditions. Throughout the year, students will experience singing unison, two, and three-part music.

Cantabile is comprised of mixed (Soprano, Alto & Baritone) voices. Students in grades 6-8 will experience a growing choral etiquette and rehearsal technique, with a more formal rehearsal process that includes sight singing and score study. Cantabile members must demonstrate a healthy use of head tone & falsetto, and will be asked to participate in a blend-and-balance exercise during auditions. Throughout the year, students will experience singing unison, two, and three-part music.

A choir for students in grades 9-12, Chorale singers must demonstrate advanced choral techniques, including but not limited to, sight reading skills, head/falsetto and chest voice sound production, part independence against two to three other voices, and high school music theory terminology and understanding. Throughout the year, students will experience singing two, three, and four-part music.

cambiare south
Directed by Jonathan Pereira
Cambiare is an ensemble for young men and changing voices starting in the 6th grade. Singers will build skills in singing, musicality, sight-reading, and music literacy, and advance their performance skills. This ensemble performs repertoire in many styles and languages. Students will participate in two, three, and four-part music.
